The delicious Adai is ready.
Mmmmmm, my neighbour makes these sometimes! Soooo yummy with green spicy stuff!
you can also try this at home, and then share your experience
looks yummy.... thanks for posting this!
what is asafetida? THESE SOUND YUMMY. I often make some similar to these
Thanks Wendy. Asafoedita is a spice which is commonly added in Indian food to add its taste. If you do not have asafoedita then you can leave it. As a substitute you can add cloves powder, onion powder or garlic powder.
Looks great, will try asap , many thanks for sharing
Thanks eileen. Hope you will try it soon, and will share your experience.
looks delightful!!!!! My version is I add only red lentils about 1/2 cup, will try with other lentils too. I had made this yesterday for my girlfriends :)
Meghana you can also add little amount of chickpea and yellow lentils in the mixture.
They look great. Having an Indian curry night tonight and they will go very nicely with the other dishes I am making.
Mine were very dry , not like a batter. I think I did something very wrong.
Hi Leigh, are rice and lentils properly grinded and in correct amount ? It is possible that all the ingredients are not properly mixed while making the batter. You can also add one tbs of oil while making the batter. It will make Adai more crispy and less dry.
