I'm a big fan of Coca Cola Coke Zero (not sure if everyone else has that in their country) and was just wondering if it was Vegan?
I'm more than willing to give it up fro Veganism but it would be nice to still be able to have it.
Also if anyone knows any common lollies that are vegan?
I heard that coke is not vegan. But I am not too sure about this, still need more information about it.
Coke is not vegan ??
what are you talking Xiao :O
I said, I was not so sure about it, I just heard it and need more information about it. I never find information about it since I don't drink coke for years.
Hey this is from the Coca-Cola uk website:
"Are your drinks suitable for vegans and vegetarians?
For the vast majority of our drinks, yes. None of the Coca‑Cola and Schweppes brands contain milk, eggs or any products derived from mammals. However, vegans and vegetarians should note that a few of our drinks contain small traces of fish gelatine, which is used as a stabiliser for the beta-carotene colour. These products are Lilt, Lilt Zero, Kia-Ora Orange Squash, Kia-Ora Orange Squash No Added Sugar and Schweppes Orange Squash. Five Alive Apple Five Fruit Blend also contains traces of gelatine."
I drink coke normal, diet and zero still. I think its only the orangey fruity types which contain gelatine, i always forget which so avoid all the lemonadey and orange ones.
Hey np. I'm intrigued, what does Kia Ora mean?
Does anyone know if the flavouring/mixer for the SodaStream contains any gelatine or anything that would make it non vegetarian or vegan?
I learned about fish gelatine being in a lot of Coca Cola products after seeing this post on Facebook. Also the few negative posts so far are just generic nonsense. Thanks anyway :)
