I was really into horseback riding for a few years when I was a kid, but I had to stop because I had to move away. I loved it, but I have always been facinated by the socalled "horse manship" (all you horse interested people will know what I'm talking about) So I wanna know what you guys think is the best for the horses?

I think it is a lesser evil but still wrong given the end goal of human domination in order to exploit an animal for work or selfish pleasure. Its hypocritical to claim to care about horses and ride them.Bite size vegan on YouTube has some enlightening videos on the subject
I Agree with you Luisa.

My horse and I are partners. She is a pet in the sense that she is a treasured member of the family. She is with me for the rest of her life. I follow natural horsemanship (it's just a word). Natural horsemanship is all about understanding the horse's natural instincts, natural fears, natural social behavior. While we are taught to be the leader we are never dominant. Leadership is necessary for safety and learning to move together as a team. She learns to trust me and I learn to trust her. It's a very spiritual connection. This is a photo from a Clinton Anderson training class. I think she had more fun than I did.

Lol never dominant?? you're sitting on her back at a 'training' class getting her to do what YOU want her to do in an environment nature never intended her to be.

We are partners. In the herd, there is always a dominant mare and stallion. She never does anything she doesn't want to do. The training class btw was to train me not her.
