Connect with vegetarian and vegan friends from all over the world.
Hi everyone, I'm Misha, 24 years old, from Los Angeles and have been a vegetarian for 3 years now, with a few attempts at veganism in between. I don't have too many vegetarian/vegan friends and would definitely like to get to know others who live a meat-free lifestyle. I'm also a hairstylist and speak fluent German, some Dutch and Russian, and hope to learn Swedish. I'm a huge nothern-Europe fan, a bit of a health nut and a quirky artist. So drop by and say hello and I'd love to hear how other vegetarians/vegans lead their lifestyle :)

Permalink Reply by Seth on January 15, 2013 at 9:22am Hi Misha! I just joined today, so I'm new too! I'm 27 and I've been vegetarian my whole life. I eat A LOT of veggie burgers, vegetarian Mexican and Indian food, fruits, nuts, seeds, and protein shakes! It's a great lifestyle and I'm always full of energy :D

Permalink Reply by Misha on January 19, 2013 at 11:22pm Yes, I have a couple of friends who are also Hindu, and they would always bring the most amazing home made lunches during our lunch breaks. I think that's why vegetarian/vegan foods coming from places like India or Thailand taste so amazing, because people have experience with it and know that vegetables aren't "bland" at all. I was born in a meat eating family and for the past few years, only me and my Mother are meat free. I hope to pass it on someday!

Van harte welkom, Herzlich Wilkommen.
I moved from North of Europe to the South... mainly to taste the differences... Was in the USA for a few months once.
Being vegetarian is slightly easier in the North, but regular veggies are more tasty in the South. Benefit in all.
What do you enjoy about north of Europe?
Permalink Reply by Misha on January 19, 2013 at 11:25pm Dank je and danke :D I love northern Europe, especially Germany. I enjoy the culture, the people, the language and the traditions. I find people there are stereotyped because of the history, but they are actually some wonderful, interesting people! It was definitely much harder to be vegetarian for me over there though!
Did you like the US? I enjoy both parts of the world :)
