Hello vegetarian/vegan friends,

nobody is perfect and I just would love to know what unhealthy things your do instead of eating huge amounts of meat?

First I drunk a lot the last years and had blackouts every weekend. I really want to stop with it ... but I don't really succeed.

Moreover I smoke hookah 3-4 times the week but I think the alcohol problem is worse.

So do you have also some vice? : )

I used to have a drinking/drug problem, & really bad depression but I got sober at some point with help and a lot of cognitive thinking and changes to my behavior.

I changed my life round too. Didnt like my self much and wanted to be some one different,two years down the line I have achieved this and Im a much happier person. Never been this contented be fore. My wanting and greed was taking over.

Im a Straight Edge Vegan and was Vegetarian since I was about 11 years old.Been straight edge all my life...I had a hard time getting cheese and dairy out my diet, and I struggled that.I had another Straight Edge Vegan help me, move over from Vegetarian to Vegan...lol..I have a weakness at times for sweet things, that are chocolate..lol..I had a lot of issues with being under weight, when I was younger and had eating disorders, that keep me under weight.I do not have to much of a problem with it now, because I got my diet under control.

Mines mostly carbs I'm a big pasta fan :)but I also can relate to alcohol and hookah I'm also a big fan of those as well :(

I picked up my first cigarette at 50 because I had nothing LEGAL to turn to for stress and I didn't want pills. That was a mistake. Now I just smoke 4-5 cigs a day out of habit. I only have an alcoholic beverage maybe once per month or less. Other than that, I eat healthy and have pretty good habits.  :)

I have terrible cravings for sweet food, i don't eat anything with white sugar in it but i will use cane sugar direct from the sugar cane etc.. and make my own deserts or buy from a vegan store near me. i feel like im always craving sweet stuff :( definitely a hard habit to break 

I don't have a sweet tooth, but when I do, I have a lot of dried fruit on hand. Dried pineapples are so very sweet. I also add raw sugar to some pure cacao with coconut oil when I have a severe chocolate craving!

that's definitely one thing i need to have on hand more is dried fruit, thanks for reminding me

I take some sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and a drizzle of agave. tastes like a candy I used to eat as a kid.

mmmm that sounds delicious im going to have to try that :D 

I have not been cooking so I have bought Vegan frozen dinners, to eat with raw fresh chopped organic vege's and maybe peanut sauce, or bar-b-q on top. I buy the purest frozen stuff and least ingredient bottled
sauces. But it all still feels more toxic than eating all fresh foods.
experiencing a dip in health and motivation then a backing of the labor intensive shopping and preparing.
