WHY DO EGG FARMS KILL THE MALE BABY ROOSTERS AND ONLY KEEP THE FEMALES FOR HATCHING EGGS???

WHY DO EGG FARMS KILL THE MALE BABY ROOSTERS AND ONLY KEEP THE FEMALES FOR HATCHING EGGS??? ARE ROOSTER MEAT AND CHICKEN MEAT NOT THE SAME? WHY DON'T THEY SELL THEM AS CHICKEN MEAT LATER? I DO NOT CONDONE  EATING CHICKEN MEAT BUT I AM WONDERING WHY THEY WOULDN'T KEEP THE MALE ROOSTERS FOR FEEDER MEAT?

The reason being - meat chickens are pumped with growth hormones to produce more meat.  Sometimes they grow too quickly too fast and cannot even stand.

The ones that hatch that are not genetically modified are not as "profitable" as others.

And its not just "kill" them, they murder them horrifically.  They either just toss them in garbage bins and stomp on them to make more room, or the suffocate under more being thrown in after them.  Or, more so, they are ground up alive...

The egg industry is horrific.

I try to cut out eggs (and milk) as much as I can.  My children are vegetarian with me and we do not eat eggs unless they are in things like bread or cake made elsewhere.  Same with milk, we drink almond milk, but do obtain it through cheese and such.  I keep wanting to try and make a vegan cake/cookies to try them.
