I believe food that come into our mouth not just feed our body or physic but also feed our soul, mind and heart. Without blood, revenge and also cruelty. And the important one is bring a smile and peace for the mother earth..

In hinduism we call is Sattvic Philosophy..

Achieving the Brahman state is the ultimate goal for spirituality. Though being interpreted differently in languages, cultures and doctrines,  the One can be reached through the awakening of conscience and compassion on the meek and the afflicted. And vegetarianism and veganism lead the way.

Here is a very sweet part taken from the Isha Upanishad:-

"Those who see all creatures in themselves
And themselves in all creatures know no fear.
Those who see all creatures in themselves
And themselves in all creatures know no grief.
How can the multiplicity of life
Delude the one who sees its unity?"

When you feel the suffering of every living thing in your own heart, that is consciousness. ~ Bhagavad Gita

This one is taken from one of our new member' favorite quote here. It's very touching and straight forward.

He who sees that the Lord of all is ever the same in all that is -- immortal in the field of mortality -- he sees the truth. And when a man sees that the God in himself is the same God in all that is, he hurts not himself by hurting others. Then he goes, indeed, to the highest path. ~ Bhagavad Gita 13.27-28
