- I love to cook. Somewhat of a hobby chef, I have been formally trained in conventional cooking as well as vegan cooking. I cook just about everything we eat from scratch so I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I love to make fresh food beautiful, give it as gifts, and feed my friends, family, and even strangers. After all, we're not strangers once we've shared a meal together. I cook mostly vegan meals using fresh, whole ingredients and shop as locally as I can. I call myself a flexitarian because I cook mostly vegan but I do use farm fresh eggs and a dash of cheese on rare occasions. I am always on the lookout for a great dish that is beautiful, tasty, and healthy. I LOVE gardening and growing our own food.

The weather is cooling and fall has crept in. Usually it waits for Labor Day weekend. But not this year. Even though it's sunny the mornings and evenings have been much cooler. The peaches are done, I have the jars of sliced peaches, some dried and in the freezer, and then some just frozen and ready for smoothies or a quick cobbler in November. It was a tasty job.
