"there is another reason for living in a vegetarian / vegan community : looking at the bigger picture : when paying the home or car insurance, I'd like part of it to go into the vegan circle. Surely the main "mothership" certainly does…"

I was a vegetarian for almost 5 years and then woke up and turned vegan :) I love my life and I love being a vegan. I would rather die than contribute to the evil that I used to.

Hi Mike, You caught my eye because we only live 20 or so minutes from me.  I'm actually looking for advice on how to get started in an exercise program.  Unfortunately, due to medications I have been on, I have gained more weight than I care to say.  I was going to go to the gym and hire a personal trainer, but I wanted to get an honest opinion, especially a fellow vegetarian.  Any input you have would be much appreciated.  Oh, I know going for walks is good, I have 5 dogs, I'm looking for something to drop weight.  Thanks
