One of my new year's resolutions was to eat healthy and the best way to do that is by becoming a vegetarian. I'm basically new to this vegetarian diet so any help or advice would be much appreciated.

It's only been 4 days into my diet and I can honestly say I can control my thirst for meats, especially chicken! Went to Buffalo Wild Wing's with a bunch of friends and didn't even order any wings, instead I ordered Roasted Garlic Mushroom.:)

Hi I'm basically new to the diet. So could anyone please tell me what all do I need to consume everyday? I know that I need to consume protein, vitamin, etc, but will anyone go in depth about what I need to consume please?

Congrats on your new diet.  What to consume everyday is really pretty easy.  Here is a very good rule.  Eat as much as you want of fresh vegetables and fruits.  Nuts are excellent as well.  Make a guacamole dip and use some whole grain crackers.  I like the Wasa brand.  Soups are excellent, but with all your cooking watch the salt.  I prefer to use hot peppers, great flavor and you don' t need the salt.  You can also use salt substitutes. You can make rice and bean burritos using veggie cheese. Add kale and tomatoes, and you will not believe how good it is.  There are tons of recipes on line. If you are doing vegan, you cannot overeat as long as you are staying away from processed foods and junk foods.  I eat usually from the time I get up until the time I go to bed and I am still losing weight and have never felt better.
