Francesca_Bee said… Hey thanks for the friend request! <3 scotland :)
Francesca_Bee said… Erm I went veggie when I was about 17 mainly because of the animal welfare and then a couple of years ago I went vegan :) I'm very into the environmental and health side of things now also.......this site is great! love talking to people from all over the world. What about you?? :)
Francesca_Bee said… yeah as a child I always referred to myself as a half vegetarian lol but family always wanted to try and make me eat meat. Oh my I'm sorry to hear that!! must have been awful. Erm... I was a massive cheese eater... it was mostly a mind thing I think, I always thought 'I need cheese' there is a Parmesan alternative called parmesano its in the free from section at most supermarkets....The edam melty cheezly is nice on pizza. I used to hate it all too, but you get accustomed to the flavour when its in stuff. Cheshire style 'sheese' is nice on jacket potatoes :D........I drank soya milk as a vegetarian so already got used to that flavour. Kara dairy free milk is reaaaally nice and made from coconut. And swedish glace is the best dairy free ice cream I've found :) it took me a while to be vegan, I'm not gonna lie it was difficult......but I'm so happy now I'm vegan just feel healthier, its great :P
Francesca_Bee said… Hey, I realised I didn't get back to you to you on the ped egg cheese lol. Yeah its the dry stuff and to my knowledge they don't do it in block form as yet. I also lived on that in Bulgaria...pesto and parmesano make for great pasta times :D It's cool you recognised milk as a gross thing at an early age, good for little you :P and pesto lasagna sounds scrumptious.... do you use the pesto as the sauce? x
natalie love said… yeah i make i white sauce with soy milk an soy marge and make the pesto then do a layer of white sauce and pesto some parmasan then a sheet of pasta then carry on with the pesto white sauce cheese to the top then put lotsa cheese on and bake...this is good with fresh pasta its quicker cos everyhting is cooked anyways :) x
