From a Girl's point of view....

I am beautiful Not only because of the curve of my hips Or the shape of my body

Not only because of the fullness of my lips Or the curl of my eye lashes

I am beautiful because

I want to be I am beautiful because God made me that way

I am beautiful because in my eyes

There is no one more beautiful than me

I am beautiful because

I have a heart And that is a beautiful thing

I am beautiful because

I have a brain And that is a beautiful thing Iam…

Is there such as thing as humanely and sustainably sourced dairy products such as yoghurt?

I'm a newbie here!

having worked for many years in the Animal Health Industry, I am well aware of what goes into food production animals, and from an Animal welfare perspective, the decision to no longer eat animal products has been an easy one.

However, I really like yoghurt. And I find the soy substitutes taste a bit yuk. Are there smaller, boutique dairies, either goat or cow, where the calf has not been pulled from the mother? And the…

My new life as a vegan

Hi everybody,

First of all, I'm French, so if I make some English grammar mistakes, please dont yell at me ...

I'm 20, I'm studying English in University and I decided to be new, to be healthy, to be new !

The problem is that I live with my boyfriend (well it's not a big problem since I love him more than all) and he is a massive meat-eater. I've always been one aswell, but I decided to change ever since I saw an awful video a vegan cousin of mine posted on her facebook…

How to Make Vegan Lembas Bread LOTR

In the Lord of the Rings movie,Lembas Bread is said to "fill a man's stomach with just one bite". I though it would be fun to do a little cosplay and vegan cooking while we wait for the release of The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug.

Which food from a movie do you wish existed in real life?

From Tasmania to Kota Kinabalu, January 2014

Best in traveling is meeting new People.  I have been traveling around Australia by walking and public transportation for more than 4 months now after coming back from 14 European countries.

Now I am in Tasmania. On the first day of December 2013 I attended a vegan picnic in Hobart. It was officially the first day of Summer. In the morning it was cool but in the afternoon sun came out and was very hot, as it is here under the huge hole in the ozone layer.

The event was fun…

My modest anniversary as a vegetarian

It was exactly three years in November since I became vegetarian. On this occasion, I would like to share my journey about one of the best decisions I made in my life. I will try to be as brief as possible. :)

First, I should say that I am Lithuanian – in case you did not know that. Lithuanians in general are quite huge meat eaters, especially of pork. Oh yes,…

The Smiths " Meat is murder " song lyrics

This album was released on the 24th of February 1985, 2 months before I was born. It wouldn't be for another 27 years before I listened to the album. Since I started listening to Morriesy I've become a little obsessed with his music. The single "meat is murder " is by far one of his most powerful tracks and it's no coincidence that it's a pro vegetarian track.

Here are the lyrics from the single

Heifer whines could be human cries

Closer comes the screaming knife…

A little about me

Hi all

Up to as early as a few months ago I was oblivious to the vegetarian world, even though my wife who I've been with for 6 years has been " a veggi " for over 20 years.
