As a spiritually powerful woman I have very strong views on compassion,it is a important part of my daily practice. One aspect of it involves meditating.Meditating is very good and brings me a sense of peace, harmony and comfort, but the true aim of living a compassionate life, is to develop the courage to think of others and to do something for them.Compassion is love in action and not just a thought.
It is easy to mediate than to actually do something for others, or just think compassion is just something we think, and do not instill in our daily lives or deeds.I have for the most my life, made it my mission to study all I can in the area of compassion and altruism. One's life should be from the basis for action, for seizing the opportunity to do something. My compassionate motivated being, has a sense of universal responsibility, that should be expressed in deeds.
Compassion can not be selective to just one thing.True compassion should be given for all living things, that counts, for humans and animals alike. One of the emotions most disturbing to me, is saying we're compassionate, but reflect hatred.(No one is perfect). But, I do not agree with people who assert hatred.Hatred and anger may seem to offer an energetic way of getting things done.It is also used in a compassionate cause, but such a perception of the world is misguided to think hatred changes anything. The only certainty about hatred is that its destructive; no good ever comes of it. If we live our lives continually motivated by anger and hatred, even our physical health deteriorates. On the other hand, people who remain calm and open-minded, motivated by compassion toward others, are more likely to make change.
