Cruelty Free makeup and house hold products .

Hello all ! I read this book over the weekend on Animal testing and i have decide to buy only Cruelty free make up and house hold cleaners. The house hold cleaners are easy to find , but I'm having a hard time finding make up thats not animal tested. I was wondering if anyone knew of any make up thats cruelty free ?

Yes!  Ava Anderson Non-Toxic.  They have cosmetics, skin care, hair and body care, baby products, and cleaning products.  No animal testing whatsoever, not even by their suppliers!!  Let me know if I can answer any questions avaandersoncolorado@live.com.   Can I post a website here?  You can check it out at www dot avaandersonnontoxic dot com/heather.  Good luck in your journey!

Hi there!

I use African Black Soap handmade by Women in Ghana. Peta approved organic vegan moisturisers by MuLondon, i.d. Bare Minerals make up with the synthetic brushes. I use coconut oil, sunflower oil or Flexitol Skin Nourishing oil for body.

For hair I use Abeni Dreadlocks Rock shampoo bar (even though I'm not dreaded, it's great for sensitive scalps), Pure Nuff Stuff Shampoo / body bar and sometimes Naked Shampoo. I condish with a little coconut oil rubbed between palms and applied to towel dried hair.

Sorted!!

Just make sure that along with being cruelty-free, your products also have no toxic chemicals.  You can check out most products at www.ewg.org/skindeep.  It's a database of thousands of products and gives them a toxicity rating and tells you what is in them.  Hope that helps!

Go to http://leapingbunny.org/indexcus.php.

Leaping bunny certificates if  brands are cruelty free or not, they also put if the comany is cruelty-free but subsidiary of other that's not. You can find all products in there!!

The best make up I've tried so far is Urban Decay, so easy to find! and also, vegan. (some brands are named cruelty free but have animal products in them). My shampoos, conditioner and soaps are Burt's Bees.

Good luck :) !

You know, I'd never even thought that Burt's Bees may have vegan products, because of the name! Worth knowing, thanks for sharing!
