Sometimes I think that people get so caught up in defending 'their' religion that they forget to practice what they preach.My personal thoughts on this is that from my limited understanding of "ALL"religions, the common denominator is that we should live our lives to working towards being loving,respectful and caring human beings to each other.

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”(Matthew 22:36-40)
Jesus replied,Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.This is the first and greatest commandment .And the second is like it or not.Love your neighbor as yourself.

Our attitude  toward others is a mark of love.Followers of Christ have not always presented a pretty picture to the world.To often they have failed to show the beauty of love, the beauty of Christ.Must Followers of Christ continue to stand with arms folded, presenting to men a tarnished image of God a shattered body of Christ.

Today in a sick culture in which men treat men as inhuman, as machines.As followers of Christ we know the value of all life.Every person is our neighbors and we are to love them as ourselves. We are to do this on the basis of creation, even if they are not redeemed, for all have value because they are made in the image of God.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you,so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. (John 12:34-35)

 That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (John 17:21)

We are to love all true in a way that the world may observe.This means showing love to in the midst of our differences,great or small, loving our brothers when it costs us something,loving them in a way the world can see. We are to practice and exhibit the holiness of God and the love of God, for without this we grieve the Holy Spirit. Love and unity it attests to is the mark Christ gave us to wear before the world. Only with this mark may the world know that we are indeed of God.
