I was recently singled out publicly online for all to see by what was once considered a "friend" over my veg diet and how I force it in peoples faces... well, for one, I have never targeted someone and bombarded them with reasons why their diet is bad and I have just NEVER confronted anyone. I made it so that if they were interested they could simply comment on a status or just ignore the post but never directed at anyone, just general things. Secondly, my posts were very general and never directed at anyone, just liked links, shared videos, and statuses very relevant to my life just like everybody else. Not everything I posted was all the same or about the general subject of health and diet at all. I had to clear the list of people connected to me and rid it from the people who seemed to be very hostile and against my diet...but to get to the point of this post... as I learn more I really wish my posts were paid more attention to and that my 'friends' would listen.

The fallacies of dairy milk and how something deemed 'healthy' could really just be paid off just to market that it is. Cow milk is, in fact, not healthy for you and everything you need is given to you naturally from the earth. Small video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTo5TulJLU8 or article here: http://www.onegreenplanet.org/news/harvard-reports-milk-is-not-the-... In the video given it actually says that the advertisement about how milk builds strong bones is actually false so it had to stop being used.

Also, I know my brother has opted to stop drinking regular colas and started drinking diet ones. I knew aspartame was bad but when I really looked into it I was very concerned for his health because it is an artificial sweetener in diet drinks and other products... video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvFRLIjOLOU

Just... even generally with a veg diet I wish that people would listen and open their eyes that nothing good has really come from the consumption of meat or animal products, especially because of all the illness, disease, and cancer that has been linked to together with certain dietary factors like meat in The China Study by Dr. Campbell.

Honestly, it just kind've... REALLY tears me down that people still partake in diets that basically only hurt themselves and I wish they'd listen so they can have a life of good energy and feeling. It's funny how the meat section in the markets has dramatically grown and so has diabetes, heart disease, obesity, stroke and cancer. I try and get the word out out of compassion from my heart, to anyone that will listen for their health... and for the animals. I don't force it, but I just wish I could talk about it with more people that would become interested in it while they assess the ways their lifestyle choices might have been wrong for their whole being.

End rant. :)

I know how you feel. I always post things on facebook but everybody does. My friends always moan at me for putting 'depressing' things on my wall, but at the end of the day why would I want to know about the daily commentary of someones life. I don't moan about it but its freedom of speech at the end of the day. I think they can just delete me if they aren't interested.

That's really harsh of your friend, if she had any respect for you she would have spoken to you one to one about how she felt.

And as for the health thing that really annoys me too. All your doing is caring for people, but they just see it as nagging or you think you know everything. Aspartame is terrible.....whenever my friends have red bull and coke I cringe. But I don't say anything cause they wouldn't listen anyway.

I've had friends pretend to be vegetarian....so they wouldn't upset me?? it's really bizarre how people can be.

There I've had a rant to :)

Yeah they actually didn't seem to understand the damage done when I personally texted my friend talking about how it was very unnecessary to tag and talk about me publicly about how my diet has made me think so high and mighty of myself and that it was annoying & I force it on people all the while letting people like the status and talk about it in the comments. My 'friend' thought they did nothing wrong and were just expressing themselves like I do everyday. :/ I guess.. sure.. but not so nice.

I just say to myself our diet is compassionate and I will wait silently until someone whose interested and wants to listen will approach me :) But yeah people are bizarre lol they get so on edge about a veg being open to learning the truth about food and open about their diet for some reason.

Well, if you need a good FB buddy to support you you're welcome to add me :) http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1704401122

lol good! Spread the word!! :D and for those diet soda drinkers, if you know any, aspartame is bad as well.

I drink diet soda, though I'm trying to stop! I used to drink regular- I switched to drop calories, and I did drop weight- but it is still incredibly bad for you. Did you know they put aspartame in chewing gum? It's crazy. I've already cut out a lot of dairy- just need to up the water! Weee!

It is crazy your friend reacted that way. She seems so.. MAD. Maybe she should question herself as to why she's so upset about someone else's diet. You're not hurting anyone by posting statuses, if she doesn't like it, she can delete the post from her feed or even unsubscribe from your posts. If she's so offended and felt the need to be nasty- that might suggest she feels guilt? Who knows!

Maybe you could try flavored drinks you mix with water instead? I stopped soda a long time ago but every now and then when I treat myself instead of water I get some nice lemonade :) I hope you stop drinking diet soda soon because what I learned from watching a couple videos is going to definitely stop me from having anything with aspartame EVER.

Who knows what drove em to do what they did lol just people have become so dissensitized and think that preaching over the love and care for animals is somehow dumb and annoying. Lol okaaay?? Sad to see what has become of people sort of.
