Hello all! :D

So if you haven't heard there is a website called, VeganCuts.com.

Last month they started giving "monthly sample boxes" to those that subscribed. -($19 USD a month)- I figured, why not it'd be cool to try   some stuff and see if I like it. So I got my first box today. I figured I would review what I got and maybe if you guys were interested you can check out the website or the specific product. So here goes....

-a small package of sour fruit snacks from Surf Sweets-sour berry bears!  ...I liked them they somewhat reminded me of sour patch kids but not as gummy-meaning they didn't stick to your teeth hardcore. The flavors had a light fruity flavor.  #NomNomNom  Bonus! -made with organic fruit juices!

-SeaSnax-lightly roasted and Seasoned seaweed. ...I'm not the biggest fan of seaweed but figured what they hey right? So I checked the label and see a disclaimer that it may contain traces of fish or shellfish. No brainer I tossed it. c'mon vegancuts.com you should know better!! :P

-Berry Plus Laundry soap- laundry soap that is 100% plant based. And it comes in a cute little package too. I haven't not tried it but will let you know once I do. The liquid soap comes in little viles and one is enough for a whole load of laundry therefore better because you aren't wasting soap.:] Bonus! It smell fab-u-loussss.

-Simply Straws- glass straws made in the USA. BPA free. I have actually bought a package of simply straws before and really like them. you save plastic, its better for your teeth and even the packaging is earth friendly! ;D

-Kelapo Coconut Oil. I was given a sample size of this. I actually like coconut oil. I believe its better for you since it retains its nutrients at higher heat levels than other oils-(other oils become just FAT) I actually already have this in spray form and I like it. Bonus!- its organic and fair trade certified. :]

Last item in the box was a little box with 5 little bite size organic raw brownies...Unfortunately I had opened these earlier and ate them and tossed the box at work so I don't have a brand name for you :( I will try to find out and when I do I will let you know. ...The brownies were really yummy although I would've liked a more chocolately flavor to them. #NomNomNom

That's it! I'll have another review next month ;]

Sorry so late with getting back to this. I got sick with the flu and then the cold. I'm feeling much better now but I can't seem to get rid of my cough. It's annoying! bleh! Anyways, here is some updates on some of the things I promised....

The brownies are from  Kur Delights  - as I had said the brownies are nom nom.

I tried the berry plus laundry detergent and it wasn't too bad...the first one I used it seemed like it didn't clean all of my clothes or maybe it just didn't smell that way I'm not sure. With the second vile I grabbed an 8 oz container and filled it about 3/4 of water and diluted the detergent in there then placed it in where the detergent goes on my washing machine (I have a front load). This seemed to have worked much better!

I did get a response from Vegan Cuts about the seaweed and I feel like they didn't understand what I was trying to tell them but none the less here is what they responded me with:

Alex (Vegan Cuts)

These are allergy warnings due to some people's severe allergy to even a molecule of shellfish residue. People with this allergy know they cannot eat seaweed without risk, but SeaSnax could be sued if they didn't include this warning and someone had a reaction.

Anything farmed will have 'traces of' animals in the local environment, as farming equipment is imperfect. For instance, ground squirrels live in fields for wheat and other grains. There aren't warnings on these items since no one has deathly allergies to mammals.

Hopefully that addresses your concern! The seaweed certainly isn't farmed with a disregard for animal life!

My point to them was the fact that it contained traces of shellfish would imply that it wasn't vegan...but ok. So I just know to avoid anything from seasnax.

Well that's it and I should be getting my box for this month soon!
