Hi Mark! I'm vegan for ethical reasons, environment and health are secondary. Always felt very strong about it, and you know what, even after many years of this lifestyle it doesn't get much easier to deal with the 'outside' world. That's why we need to support each other in our community :) what about you, what are your reasons?
Nice to meet you here. My reason of being vegan is simple. Because i love animals. For me, it doesn't make sense to eat them if i love them. Just like i love my dog and my cat, i wouldn't eat them. After i watched some documentary video regarding the meat industry, i was so shock, sad and angry. I then read a Buddhism book regarding meat production, i then became a vegetarian the next day i woke up. I don't have much issue of it. After a year plus, i became a vegan. The more i find out the fact of the food industry, the more i can't accept it. I recommend everyone to watch 'Earthings' from YouTube, i'm so certain i want to be a vegan after i watched it. I wish i could have done it earlier. So, i think the answer is purely Love, compassion? but now, also environmental friendly. The statistics and fact tells the truth, which we all should not ignore it. :)
Hi Mark, thanks for adding me as a friend. Nice chatting to you. I'm interested in being vegan to be a friend to the animals as well as the positive social implications. I was really interested in the documentary Cowspiracy :)
Hi Mark, thanks for the friend request. I had been vegetarian for 10 years and decided about 11 months ago to become vegan. Before I became vegan my main reason was for the animals, but the more I learned about the environmental impact of the meat and dairy industries, the more I felt the need to step up and stop supporting them! How about you?
Hi Mark, thanks for the friend request :) I became vegetarian 5 years ago after watching the documentary "Earthlings". Lots of research into factory farms, health, spirituality and the environment has kept me living happily between vegetarianism, veganism, and raw foodism :p how about you? What made you want to go vegetarian?
Hi Mark! Thanks for adding me. I've wanted to become vegan for many years. I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years. I know health wise it is the ultimate way to eat and stay healthy, but I also have watched too many videos that show the horrific ways they treat those poor helpless animals and I just can't be part of that any longer.
